Have you ever heard about Acupuncture? Some say it works amazing while other say it doesn't.
I personally hardly believe chinese acupunture beause it doesn't make medical sens. Aupuncture theory is based on Meridian sytem, which is a map of energy flow. It says our body has points that repesent clitical energy flow. Unfortunately, as a anatomy professor in Chiropractic College I ws unable to find those points in any human body or in cadevour. Acupuncture was more likely a religion that one must believe it although you don't see it with your own eye but because bible said so.
When I first heard about Dry Needling, chinese acupuncture finally made sense to me in that matter why sometimes it works amazingly. Some acupuncure points coincide with peripheral nerve points in human anatomy even though chinese never intended to work with it. As an anatomy professor I understand where the peripheral nerve piercing into skin. Some trigger points where manula therapists always work for are the great points where the needle can be inserted to make great improvement of pain.
I certified Dry Neeling course with Dr. Ma. I personally think that chiropractors are the best practitioner for the dry needling technique since we detect all body problem mainly relying on our hands touch, palpation. Find the problem and needle it.
Dry needling is the one of the state of the art modality in physical therapy. Acupuncture needle is so fine that most of time you will not feel the needle when it gets into your skin.
Dry needling is just one of the great tools I have.
